Ecclesiastes 9:10 opines, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” Pastor Williams is a loving, stern, and compassionate man in constant search for truth. As I have matured in my faith walk and spiritual relationship with Elohim and service to His people, I am compelled to share this passage of scripture. Romans 15:5 opines, "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,"
Working with people whether individually or collectively can present challenges simply because we do not always think and/or respond the same way. These experiences have stretched my faith walk and spiritual relationship to the extent that I have learned to rely on His "endurance and encouragement" to empower, inform, and equip all of mankind that I encounter.
Ultimately, this faith walk and spiritual relationship can only truly manifest by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Second Encounter wherein one can be endowed with power to cast out demons, heal the sick, and to witness unto salvation, and simply I made-up my mind to live a revolutionized life, (Matthew 10:8; Acts 1:8). May your faith walk and spiritual relationship with Elohim ever increase!
One of the key elements of being a "good or productive" leader is by the level of comprehensive and deliberate involvement surrounding the task(s) at hand. If I were to reflect on a biblical example, it would involve Nehemiah's ability to not only garner all the necessary letters, passports, expansive supply lists and the like from governing authorities, but he was successful in surveying, developing a timeline and plan of execution. In time, everyone was aware of his assignment including Nehemiah. He was actively involved in the rebuilding efforts as recorded in Chapter Three of Nehemiah.
Like then, this pursuit of faith...active faith is essential today to build and cultivate working partnerships within the community. Whether local, state, federal, or international, involvement and collaboration can be helpful to bridge the gap between socio-economic disparities and the marginalized.
Nehemiah faced great obstacles in his pursuit to rebuild the wall in his homeland, but he had faith and a spiritual relationship with Elohim that gave him "endurance and encouragement " until the goal was accomplished. Like Nehemiah, I also believe that the "God of Heaven, will prosper us," (Nehemiah 2:20). This is how I act on my faith in the community.
